1. Our Mission & Identity
FitPesa is a Social Enterprise Platform dedicated to health wellness, energy resilience, and poverty alleviation across the African continent. We integrate fitness tracking, social community engagement, and a hybrid marketplace. FitPesa Ltd (South Africa) is the primary contracting entity, operating in partnership with FitPesa Ltd (Nigeria) and Avalanche Internet Solutions (Uganda).
2. FitLovers: The Social Fitness Hub
FitLovers is a Community Social Feed designed for "Lovers of Fitness" to share workout achievements, motivational media, and personal milestones.
- Non-Dating Clause: FitLovers is strictly a social networking feature for fitness enthusiasts. It is not a dating, matchmaking, or romantic introduction service.
- Content Standards: Users are prohibited from posting suggestive, romantic, or commercial solicitation content. All media must align with a "Fitness, Wellness, and Poverty Alleviation" theme.
3. The FITP Loyalty Ecosystem
FitPesa issues FITP, a proprietary, non-cryptocurrency digital loyalty reward (Token).
- Nature of FITP: FITP is a digital unit used to track engagement. It is not a security, legal tender, or investment product.
- Daily Verification Cap: To ensure system sustainability, FitPesa verifies a maximum of 30,000 steps per day for FITP accrual. Any steps exceeding this cap are tracked for personal health records only.
- Veteran Level: Users who achieve 1.5 Million Verified Steps reach "Veteran Status," unlocking advanced redemption options and platform features.
4. The Pesa Boost (Loyalty Advance)
FitPesa may provide a "Pesa Boost" to eligible users.
- Definition: This is a Non-Interest Loyalty Advance where FitPesa tops up a user's FITP balance in anticipation of future physical activity.
- No-Credit Clause: The Pesa Boost is not a loan or a credit agreement under the South African National Credit Act. It carries zero interest, zero initiation fees, and zero financial obligation for fiat repayment. It is a company-sponsored incentive to accelerate fitness and wellness goals.
5. PesaMarket: Hybrid Social Commerce
The PesaMarket is a dual-structured commerce engine focused on community resilience:
- FitPesa Direct: FitPesa acts as the primary merchant for "Social Impact Goods," including energy-resilience tools (Power Stations, Rechargeable TVs, Fans), fitness wearables, apparel, and locally sourced groceries.
- Warranty: Official electronics carry a limited 6-month functional warranty.
- Peer-to-Peer (P2P): A community marketplace where Verified Users can trade items.
- Escrow Intermediary: FitPesa acts as a neutral escrow provider, holding funds/tokens until the buyer confirms receipt of the physical item.
6. Tiered Verification (KYC) & Security
To prevent fraud and comply with Pan-African Anti-Money Laundering (AML) standards:
- Basic Access: Open to all users via mobile/email verification.
- Veteran/Redemption Access: To unlock redemptions (Mobile Money, Gift Cards) or PesaMarket listing rights, users must complete a "Liveness" facial scan and Government ID verification.
- Validation Latency: All high-value redemptions undergo a 72-hour manual security audit to verify the authenticity of physical activity data against our AI-fraud sensors.
7. Payments & App Store Compliance
- Digital Services & Upgrades: Any digital feature (e.g., "Pesa Boost" activation or Digital Trophies) must be purchased via Apple In-App Purchase (IAP) or Google Play Billing.
- Physical Goods & Vouchers: Transactions for physical inventory (Appliances, Shoes, Groceries) or Marketplace Vouchers are processed via Flutterwave or other licensed fiat gateways.
- Usage Restriction: Marketplace Vouchers purchased via Flutterwave are strictly for the redemption of physical goods and cannot be used for digital-only app upgrades.
8. Redemption of Loyalty Rewards
Veteran-level users may redeem accrued FITP for real-world value (Mobile Money, Airtime, or Gift Cards).
- Service Providers: All currency payouts are facilitated via licensed third-party processors (e.g., M-Pesa, MTN MoMo, OPay).
- Company Role: FitPesa is a Loyalty Program Provider, not a bank or deposit-taking institution.
9. System Integrity & Anti-Fraud
FitPesa maintains a zero-tolerance policy. Immediate account termination applies to:
- GPS Spoofing: Using software to fake physical movement.
- VPN Usage: Obfuscating location to bypass regional restrictions.
- Device Emulators: Using non-mobile hardware to simulate activity.
Decisions made by the Automated Audit System are final, subject to a one-time manual appeal request.
10. Legacy Contact & Succession
Users may designate a Legacy Contact. In the event of confirmed death or 180 days of account dormancy, control of the FITP balance and associated digital assets may be transferred to the designated beneficiary following legal verification.
11. Disclaimers & Liability

- Physical Safety: Any offline meetings between community members are at the user's sole risk.
- Jurisdiction: These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa. Users waive the right to class-action lawsuits in favor of individual arbitration.
